This item was purchased to replace a worn-out rice cooker/steamer. This is a fun product to use and it is attractive to look at. Easy to clean and maintain. The warmer function is super and the condensation collector is simple but very effective. Still learning how to steam vegetables, but cooking rice is amazingly easy and it tastes great. The rice spoon is a great gadget.

I had great hopes for this rice cooker from all the reviews that I read. My family eats rice everyday, so a reliable rice cooker is a must. Unfortunately, this Panasonic rice cooker was a great disappointment. No matter how much I adjusted the amount of water, the rice (white) was always perfect at the top portion and the middle was soggy. I noticed that the rice under the area where the steam vent was located, was especially soggy. Don't even try to keep the rice "warm" for more than a few hours, or you'll have brown soggy rice.

I did like the appearance of the rice cooker, especially since it matched my stainless steel appliances. Other than that, I don't have much postive feedback. I had a Zojurushi rice cooker for 8 years, that cooked perfect white rice, but I wanted something to match my stainless steel appliances and couldn't find one other than in white.

This Rice Cooker is a great buy. Its a no hassle cooking gadjet. The retractable power chord & the design is really good. The steam which condenses on the lid does not fall into the cookpot & drains out into a plastic collector that can be easily cleaned. Its been the best one we used so far.
